What is End of Life Maintenance?

When you hear that a piece of computer hardware or software has an “end of life” (EOL) date, what does that mean? Does it mean the hardware or software is obsolete as of that date, and you have to run out and get the newest version or upgrade? When you hire IT Express Service for Cisco end of life maintenance, the answer to the last question is “no.” But what is “end of life” anyway?

There is a simple definition for “end of life.” It means that as of that date, the company that manufactures that computer product is no longer going to support or manufacture that product. So if your Cisco server has an end of life date of January 2015, that means Cisco will no longer be releasing any upgrades or patches for it. Think of it as the computer company’s way of giving you a head’s up that they are ceasing to support or make that product.

However, this does not mean you have to panic and run out and buy a newer Cisco server. There is a simpler and more cost-effective solution: hire IT Express Service for our Cisco end of life maintenance.

When you hire us, we can continue to maintain your Cisco product even after Cisco announces the product’s end of life date. That means you won’t have to worry about running out and spending a lot of money on a new product. You can save money and hassle in the long run, and this helps take some (or most!) IT-related stress off of your plate. You can focus on other more important aspects of running your business while our professional technicians take care of all of your IT needs, including Cisco end of life maintenance.
